Using short exercises and case studies you will be taught the skills you need to carry out family history research.
The tutor will support you through your internet searches and provide structured documentation to enable you to capture and organise your exciting discoveries.
Students leave the course with their own individual pedigree family tree and detailed handouts to support later research at home.

An open session for students to develop
their research skills and expand their
family trees with guidance from the tutor.
OR You may prefer a 1:1 session - perhaps you lack the computer skills needed for the Beginners Workshop.

Beyond the Basics
For those that have mastered the basics and want to use a wider range of sources to enrich their ancestral knowledge. Using parish records for eighteenth century research, wills, military and ship lists etc.
Courses: 9:45am to 16:45 pm, incl. lunch.
